Just treated a 6 days old orphan child with diarrhoea. He was passing 18-20 stools per day. Not passed urine since long. Was advised hospitalisation by paediatrician. But didn't get admission.
Got brief history from foster mother.
Child had fever. He would pass motion immediately after formula feeds. Stool would end with noise of gas. Child would be hungry again in 1 hr. Also he had few boils in groin area.
Took the rubrics
Diarrhoea eating after agg
Stool sputtering
Appetite increased diarrhoea with & appetite ravenous diarrhoea with
Skin eruptions, boils.
Gave Aloes 200, twice for 2 days. Baby is fine.
Treated another 2 1/2 month old orphan baby. Baby was handed over to foster mother 3 hrs back with a file which said she was on cough syrup, asthalin syrup & nebulisation with budecort n duolin since 3 days.
I observed that her breathing was quite loud and she had rattling cough. Also the foster mother said that baby had kept her tongue slightly out since she was brought from the orphanage.
I repertorised 3 symptoms
Respiration loud
Cough rattling
Tongue protruded
All 3 rubrics were covered by Lachesis, cina, opium, nux vomica n hydrocyanic acid.
I saw baby was quite cheerful without any discomfort on her face--which was unusual from the way she was breathing.
I gave her opium 200 twice for 2 days. She slept well & was fine in 2 days.
